KS ORKA first stepped into Indonesia’s geothermal industry in 2016 by acquiring the 240MW Sorik Marapi geothermal power plant project in Mandailing Natal, North Sumatera. Since then, the project company, PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power, has moved forward with the development plan by accelerating the exploration phase with target of COD ahead of the schedule. By early 2017, KS Orka acquired the second project, 30MW Sokoria geothermal power plant project, in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara. The project was stalled for years but since KS Orka took over, the construction and preparation for exploration drilling have been ongoing on site.With a large untapped geothermal resources in Indonesia, KS Orka is confident to invest in Indonesia for the development of the resources.
